Annual Media Roundtable and Shadow Day Luncheon
Wednesday, March 16
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Comedy Works South
5345 Landmark Place
Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111

This year, the PRSA Colorado Chapter is combining its annual Media Roundtable with Shadow Day, another annual event where PRSA Colorado pairs college students with communications professionals throughout the Denver Metro area for a day of hands-on, on-the-job experience. (On top of that, we’re co-hosting this event with the Colorado Health Communicators!)

Whether you’re a veteran communications professional, a young pro, or a student exploring a career in public relations the annual media roundtable is an opportunity to meet with some of the most important media resources covering national and local news. Hear what these editors, producers and reporters look for in a news story and how your ideas can stand out amidst the hundreds of pitches they receive each day. The format of the event also provides an excellent way to start building relationships with the media you want to cover your clients, companies and brands.

This event is open to non-PRSA Colorado members, including students.

Media participants:

  • Peter Banda, AP TV, staff journalist, Denver Bureau
  • Jim Hooley, Fox 31 and KOA, General Reporter
  • April Zesbaugh, 850 KOA, Colorado Morning News
  • Lindsey McKissick, 5280 Magazine, Assistant Editor
  • Mary Clare Fisher, 5280 Magazine
  • Peter Jones, The Villager
  • Jenn Ferron, KWGN-CW, Colorado's Best Producer
  • Doug Hoffacker, CBS 4, Assignment Editor
  • Misty Montano, 9NEWS, Assignment Editor/Producer
  • Kathy Walsh, CBS News
