|Who we are:
The PRSA Colorado Chapter young professionals committee formed in 2010 to engage young public relations professionals. The committee is the best place for fresh faces to find networking opportunities and professional development resources.
We define young professionals as any professional with less than 10 years experience in the public relations industry. Age does not matter!
What we do:
Through social, networking and volunteer events, we provide opportunities for young professionals to create and expand their own professional social networks, and further their professional experience and education.
Each year, we organize a variety of opportunities including:
- Quarterly "Happy Hour Plus" events allow you to network and pick up professional skills. In 2013 we will focus on speed networking, mingling with the media, and media interview tips and tricks.
- One time and short-term community volunteerism opportunities such as helping at a food kitchen for an evening.
- Young Pros Book Club. Is the latest book always on your to-do list but other priorities take precedent? Welcome to the club. A book club unlike any other. A club built around books that only us PR pros will understand, enjoy and want to discuss until the wee hours of the night (or over happy hour). Join us at 6 p.m. at Forest Room 5 (at 15th near Umatilla in the Highlands) for a lively conversation and happy hour specials. Don't fret if you didn't have time to read the entire book or blog, all are welcome!
