  Position Descriptions

Dear PRSA Colorado Chapter Member:

To kick off the process to determine the Chapter’s leadership team for next year, I invite you to take advantage of one of the best professional development opportunities PRSA Colorado has to offer. I am writing to encourage you to nominate yourself or another Chapter member for the 2017 PRSA Colorado Chapter Board of Directors. Below are some of the many benefits that past board members have shared about their experience:
  • Greater credibility as a public relations professional
  • Exposure to a broader public relations community outside one’s area of practice
  • Connections to the local PR community
  • Leadership in one of the largest and most respected PRSA Chapters in the country
  • Opportunity to practice leadership skills that can be applied immediately to your work and enhance your career
  • Chance to shape PRSA Colorado activities and strategy
  • Opportunity to be part of our profession's future and to influence the success of the public relations practice
Open positions for the 2017 Board are:
  • President-Elect (one open position – serve a three-year term through 2018)
  • Treasurer (one open position – serve a two-year term through 2018)
  • Assembly Delegate (three open positions – serve a three-year term through 2018)
NOTE: Assembly Delegate nominees must either have previous board experience - within a Chapter, District or Section - or be accredited in public relations (APR).
  • Director (two open positions – one is a two-year term through 2019 and one is a one-year term through 2017)

All terms officially begin January 1, 2017, however, each newly elected board member will be required to participate in a all-day planning session in the fall (time and date TBD). Check out the full descriptions of the open positions: Click here
To nominate yourself or another Chapter member, please complete the nomination form and obtain five signatures from existing Chapter members. Completed forms must be returned via email, mail or fax to the PRSA Colorado office by 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2016. PRSA Colorado members will vote at the annual election meeting in October.
Thank you for considering the opportunity to take your involvement and commitment to public relations - and PRSA - to the next level. If you have any questions, please call or email me at 720-273-3931 or

Best regards,
